Mrs.Bessie Lee Smith-Mitchell entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 5, 2008.
Mrs. Bessie was born on April 22,1951 to Mrs. Gladys Allen and Mr.Willie James Smith. She was educated in the Chatham County Public Schools. She was employed by Wal-Mart.
She leaves to cherish her memories: five daughters, Stephanie Smith,Melinda E. Powell, and Danyell M. Jackson,all of Atlana,Ga,Katrina and Shavon Mitchell, and special daughter/granddaughter Tanesa Smith all of Savannah, Ga.;four sons,Ernest Sr.(Sherry),Steven Edwards,Kevin(Wanda),and Adam Mitchell Jr.all of Savannah, Ga;thirty one grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Monday, May 12,2008 at 1pm from St. Paul C.M.E. Church.
Interment: Oak Grove Cemetery. Reposing at the Church 11am until hour of service.
