After the clouds, the sunshine, after the winter, the spring, after the shower, the rainbow, for life is a changeable thing; After the night, the morning, bidding all darkness cease. After life's cares and sorrows, the comfort and sweetness of peace.
Christopher T. "Crip" Williams was born on January 12, 1940 in Savannah, Georgia. He was the son of Abraham & Lauretta Williams. The old African proverb that says, "it takes a whole village to raise a child" was true in the life of Crip. He was reared in Savannah by his grandparents, Joseph & Letta Brown. Christopher attended the local public schools of Chatham County. For over fifteen years, Crip worked at Haverty's Furniture Store.
Christopher joined Joshua House in 2004 where he Ministered to the homeless in Augusta, Georgia. God blessed him with a long and fruitfull life. On Sunday, January 23, 2011 the angel of silence came into his home with chilled fingers and sealed his lips.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Mae Williams; and two brothers, James Dickey Wright and Lavern Williams.
He leaves to cherish his beautiful memories: two sisters, Maudell Williams (Roy) and Pheobe Ann Brown of Frog More, SC; a special friend, Andre Wright; his grandmother, Mabel Green; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
