Reverend Carolyn R. Gore, age 58, entered into eternal rest on June 12, 2007 at Candler Hospital. She was born in Screven County, but lived in Savannah most of her life. She retired from the Chatham County public school system. She was a member of St. Paul C.M.E. Church. She leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Benjamin Gore Sr. of Savannah, GA; one son, Benjamin Gore Jr. of Savannah, GA; one daughter, Katrina Gray (Edward) of Savannah, GA; two brothers, James Rountree and Willie Rountree both of Philadelphia, PA; one sister, Jessie Hunter of Pleasantville, NJ; seven grandchildren; one great grand; seven brother-in-laws; several sister-in-laws; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services for Rev. Carolyn Gore will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at St. Paul C.M.E. Church, 1601 Whitaker Street with Rev. Dr. Henry Delaney officiating. Interment: Magnolia Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at Williams & Williams Funeral Home. Reposing at the Church 9 a.m., Wednesday until hour of service.
