Mrs. Carrie Frazier, 92, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2010 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Carrie Frazier's journey aboard the train of life began September 2, 1917 in Hampton South Carolina. Carrie was the sixth child from the union of Gilbert Frazier and Ada Kittles. Carrie Frazier attended public school in Hampton, SC. While attending school she met and married Herbert Haygood. Their union was blessed with two children, Herbert Haygood, Jr. and Bobby Haygood. Carrie worked at several health care facilities in Savannah, GA. Finally she retired from the Senior Citizen Corporation at the tender age of eighty-five. Carrie was a faithful member of the United House Of Prayer. She served on the United Club until her health began to fail.
Ms. Frazier was preceded in death by one son, Herbert Haygood, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memories, a son, Bobby (Jaunita) Haygood of Rosselle, NJ; a sister, Adel Baker of Monroe, NC; one brother, Henry (Frankie) Frazier of Palaka, FL; four grands, Vanessa (Nathaniel) Ivy, Vernon Haygood, Valerie Health, Stephine (Gatson) Morris, Velvet (Richard) Woodley, eight great-grands, Vernon Johnson, Trevous Marshall, Cardell Health, Simone Mone'y Woodley, Ja Naun Ivy, Ja Marri Ivy, Deonica Morris, Kapresha Morris, Tiltayawana Morris, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday August 24, 2010 from United House Of Prayer, 1805 Ogeechee Rd. Interment: Greenwich Cemetery, Reposing at the church Tuesday at 9 a.m., until hour of service.
