Cleveland Gary was born on March 6, 1959, giving our family 65 years of greatness and encouraging support. He is and always will be our First Football legend carrying the record for being our Most Valuable Player who attended Richard Harold High School with the Class of 1977. He has been a dedicated employee for Derst Bakery for 21 years until his retirement in 2018. Mr. Gary has been preceded in eternal rest by his parents James Gary, Jr. & Rosa Lee Scott Gary, his paternal grandparents Virdree & Fannie Mae Gary, maternal grandparents James Beasley & Mary Lou Scott Beasley, Sisters; Janett Gary Croom and Vanessa Scott, son Joshua Williams, niece Roshun Washington-Smith and nephew Devin Smith. He now leaves has his loving Wife Emma Gary. Sisters Shelia Allen, Patricia Williams, Teresa Gary, and Angela Gary. Living children Cleveland Tolbert (Lareese), Antonio Sanders, Lakela Gary, Kareem Gary, Sierra Williams, Jamel Williams, Vickie Jenkins, Denitra Williams, Ashley Williams, and Angela Williams. A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews to continue God's plan. Mr. Cleveland Gary transitioned on July 29th, 2024 surrounded by his loved ones.
