Mr. Cornelius Simmons, 55, passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2010 at Candler Hospital.
He was a 1975 graduate of Jenkins High School. Mr. Simmons was a member of the Wolf Master's Club. He worked for 32 years as a Supervisor for the City of Savannah. He attended the United House of Prayer.
He leaves to cherish his memories: sons, Twan Simmons, Michael Simmons, and Gregory Parker; three grandchildren, Heaven Parker, Tamia Simmons, and Takia Simmons; brothers, Lawrence Simmons, Justin Roberts, Preston Roberts, John Paul Simmons, Timothy Simmons, Herbert Roberts, and Frank Williams Jr. (Wilhelmena); sisters, Mattie L. Walker (Harry), Gloria M. Speaks (Archie), Celethia Simmons (McArthur), Rosemary Simmons, Latora Knight, Cheryl Simmons, Lisa Simmons, Sharron Chisholm, Deloris Ortiz, Mary Douglas (Gary), and Miriam William; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Cornelius Simmons will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 1, 2010 at St. Philip A.M.E. Church, 613 M.L.K. Jr., Blvd. Interment: Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
