Deirde Alnita Green, 41, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at Memorial Health University Medical Center.
Ms. Deidre Alnita Green was born on April 14, 1971 in Savannah, Georgia to Mr. Johnny Green (deceased) and Mrs. Theresa Johnson. Deidre was a faithful member of St. Paul C.M.E. under the leadership of Reverend Da'Henri R. Thurman, Sr. Deidre attended the Savannah Chatham County School system, graduating with the Class of 1989 from Alfred E. Beach High School. Deidre continued her education at the University of Phoenix, majoring in Health Administration. Deidre was a former employee of Savannah Morning News for more than ten years and a dedicated employee of First Student, Inc. for the past five years. Deidre let her light shine as a proud member of Sisters With Determination (SWD). Deidre was blessed with a special angel Leeah Miracle Corinthia Green.
She was preceded in death by her father Mr. Walter L. Johnson.
Deidre leaves to cherish her memories a loving mother, Theresa Johnson, one sister, Katie Green-Wilkins (Henry) and one brother, Johnny E. Green III. Three nephews: Henry, Malachi, and Makhi Wilkins. Two nieces: Mikailah and Miracle Wilkins. Three uncles: Eugene Lester (Lynette), Mitchell Lester, and Jefferson Moultrie, all of Savannah, Georgia. One aunt, Geneva Johnson of Beaufort, South Carolina, and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Paul C.M.E, 1601 Barnard Street Savannah, Georgia 31401.
