Delores "Dee" Enga Marques Marvin, 85, of Savannah died Monday, December 14th, 2015 at Marshview Assisted Living Facility.
She was born in Phoenix, Arizona, to the late Edward C. Marques and Enga Hartz Marques. In 1949 she married the love of her life, Colonel Smilin' Jack Marvin in Tucson Arizona. Dee was a homemaker and was a member of the Savannah Christian Church.
Her husband served in the military for 38 years as a Naval Aviation Cadet, A fighter pilot and test pilot in the US Air Force and Air National Guard and served during the Korean War. He had the usual medals for his years of service, the highest being the Legion of Merit. He retired from service on November 21, 1985.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Colonel John "Smilin' Jack" Maynard Marvin, two sons, Martin M. Marvin and Lawrence Randy Marvin.
Survivors include her son, Michael A. Sellers, of Savannah and her daughter, Sherry D. Marvin of Anchorage, Alaska.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 20th, 2015 at the Forest Lawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum. She will be laid to rest next to her husband John M. Marvin.
