Diana Sweat Williams was born September 20, 1963 in Whiteville, North Carolina to Alice Cook and Frank McPherson. She was a native of Crescent City, Florida. Later she moved to Savannah, Georgia where she was educated in the Chatham County School System. She later went on to obtain her certificate in Nursing Assistant. For many years she worked as a Caregiver. She attended the Congregation of Jehovah Witness of Garden City.
She was preceded in death by her father Billy Cook, mother-in-law, Almetia Mims and brother-in-law, Michael Powers.
On January 20, 2014 she was called to rest.
She leaves to cherish her memories a loving husband of 34 years, Charles Williams (Joe); a son, Javondre Williams; mother, Alice Cook of Port St. Lucie, FL; a sister, Perenda Gayle Warren (Eddie) of Port St. Lucie, FL; God daughters, Tanesha Bacon and Jabreia Hamilton of Savannah, GA; special nephews, Dwight Kelly, Sr. and Shemond Warren, both of of Port St. Lucie, FL; an aunt, Selena Martin of North Carolina; brothers-in-law, Wallace Brinson of New York, Eric (LaDonna) Baber, Lynchburg, VA, Roderick (Lea) Mims of Waldorf, MD, and Geffrey (Terese) Mims of Cheyenne, WY; sisters-in-law, Wanda Ann (Luther) White of Palm Coast, FL, Gwendolyn (Darryl) Barrs of Ormond Beach, FL, and Jamica (Kenny) Passmore of Palatka, FL; stepfather, Willie C. Mims, Jr. of Crescent City, FL; and great nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held 12 noon Saturday, January 25, 2014 in the Chapel of Williams & Williams Funeral Home, Brother Clifford Wilson, officiating.
