Donald “Don” David Adams, 71, of Savannah died Thursday, February 11, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
Don was the son of the late George W. and Gladys Harris Adams. He was a welder at the shipyard and later opened and ran the Adams Bait Shop. Don enjoyed his family, Racecars and Competition Target Shooting.
He was preceded in death by his step son, David Alan Brown; sister, Shirley Bielet; brothers, George and Joe Adams.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Carrie McCorkle Adams; daughters, Eleanor Adams Chandler, Dawn Adams Mitchell, Renea Adams Anderson (Ward); step son, Howard P. Brown; sister, Betty Beauchane; brothers, James “Jimmy” Adams and Stan Adams; 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the Fairhaven Funeral Home Hubert C. Baker Chapel.
