Donnie Lee Sellers, Jr., age 49, of Hartsville, SC and formerly of Savannah, died Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center in Hartsville, SC.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, June 1, 2011 from the First African Baptist Church of East Savannah, at 402 Treat Ave. Savannah 31404, with Rev. Thomas E. Williams officiating. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Abbey East Mausoleum, with Matthew Kirkland, Eric Harris, Romon Mitchell, Nowen Grimball, Chima Ubani and Nnamdi Ubani serving as pallbearers.
Donnie was born in Savannah on November 2, 1961 to the late Alberta Singleton Sellers and Donnie Lee Sellers, Sr. of Savannah, who survives. Donnie was a member of St. Paul’s Holiness Church in Dubsville, SC, and was the owner and operator of Master D’s Cuts in Hartsville, SC.
In addition to his father, survivors include his wife, Emma Helen Williams Sellers of Hartsville, SC to whom he married on September 5, 2006, a son, Donnie Lee Sellers, III of Hartsville, SC; a daughter, LaDont’e Marie Sellers of Columbia, SC, his step-children, Ashley Williams, Sharina Pugh, Courtney Rivera, John Rivera all of Hartsville, SC, and Michael Ellis, Dedric Fulton, Chavonte Harged and Latoya Fulton all of Florida, his sisters, Pamela S. Swain and husband Herbert, Chaketa S. Youmans and husband John, Rorshell S. Hearns all of Savannah, Sharon S. Ubani and husband Chima of Atlanta, Renita Thompson of Savannah, a brother, Anthony Dixon of London England. A host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends also survive.
The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service on, Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at the First African Baptist Church of East Savannah at 402 Treat Ave. Savannah, 31404
