Earl Bonnett, of Savannah, passed away on Friday, August 24, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
Earl was a veteran, having served in the U. S. Army and the National Guard. He lived in Savannah for 40 years and retired as a Body Shop Technician from J. C. Lewis Ford. He remained a close, personal friend of the Lewis family until the time of his death.
An avid sportsman, Earl spent many years enjoying the Ogeechee River, teaching many his art of fishing and hunting. His contagious personality and unconditional acceptance of his friends resulted in many life-long friendships.
Mr. Bonnett was preceded in death by his parents, Eunice Perkins and Walter S. Bonnett, and the love of his life, his ex-wife Gail Boggio. He is survived by a daughter, Kay Webber and life-long friends, Mr. Donald Goss and his son, Mr. Guy Goss. During Earl’s last years his caregiver, companion, and very dear friend Ms. Phyllis Coursey remained by his side. He will be sadly missed by friends too numerous to mention.
Private interment was held on Monday August 27, 2012 at Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park East.
