Elder Willie James Reynolds, Jr.

Elder Willie James Reynolds, Jr. was born November 15, 1966 in Savannah, Georgia to the late Remell Sims Knight and Willie Reynolds, Sr.

Elder Reynolds, affectionately known as “Big Will” attended Savannah High School in Savannah, Georgia. For his community service, he received a Medal of Honor for the first JROTC Drill Team on 39th Street. He was employed at Tony Johns for 30 years as a Service Technician Supervisor. In February 2006, he began his own business through Savannah Entreprenual Center named W. J. Reynolds Lawn Care. He continued to serve his community by offering quality services at affordable prices.

Elder Reynolds gave his heart to the Lord and joined Agape Worship Center in Savannah, Georgia where he was baptized as Brother Reynolds. He was on fire for the Lord and wanted to enhance His Kingdom. God saw fit to ordain him as a Deacon in 2009 where he served faithfully until being ordained into the service of Evangelism. He was eventually elevated to Elder in 2015.

Willie was preceded in death to heaven by: parents, Remell Sims Knight & Willie Reynolds, Sr.; brother, Claude Knight; and sisters Mary Knight and Shunkey Wright.

On September 25, 2017 God called his son home.

He leaves to cherish his memories: son, Jockel Reynolds; goddaughter, Lakeisha Lewis; sisters, Sarah Wiggins, Biloxi, Mississippi, Latonia Hendry (James), Cassandra Knight, Virginia Rhett, Patricia Wiggins, Dorthea Kelly, and Aquilla Kelly all of Savannah, Georgia; brothers, Andrew Knight (Juliette), John Henry Knight (Rena), Joseph Chance, Sr. (Aquanita), Jeffrey Beasley (Vanessa), Cleave Bartley, John Anthony Knight, Thomas Knight (Tammy), and Willie Reynolds III all of Savannah, Georgia; aunts Virginia Gooding & Reatha Roger (Edward); God-sister, Lolita Lewis (Kenneth); best friend, Nikki Richardson; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation for Elder Willie James Reynolds, Jr. will be Friday, September 29, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Chapel of Williams & Williams Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, September 30, 2017 from Jerusalem Baptist Church, 201 Baker Street.  Apostle Lawrence Price Eulogist.  Burial will be in Wade Plantation Lovett Cemetery in Sylvania, Georgia.
