Evelyn C Adams

Mrs. Evelyn Cannady Adams, 68 passed away peacefully on Friday, November 30, 2007 at Candler Hospital. The Chatham County native attended Woodville-Tompkins High School where she was a Majorette for the Marching Wolverine. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Wesley and Daisy Brown Cannady, a sister, Helen Cannady Young and a brother, Willie James Cannady. She is survived by three sons, William H. (Poncho) Adams, Jr. of Savannah, GA; Willie Wesley Adams of Atlanta, GA; and Thomas C. Adams of Savannah, GA; one daughter, Vanessa G. Adams-Miller of Savannah, GA; a nephew and grandniece that she reared, Andrew Cannady of Denver, CO and Diamond Cannady of Savannah, GA; son- in-law, Victor Miller of Savannah, GA and six grandchildren, LaKia Kent, Vernee Miller- Wilson, Vatasha (Theodore) Moody, Veidra Miller-Ramsey, Victor Miller, Jr., all of Savannah, GA and Olivia Adams of Atlanta, GA; eight great-grandchildren; a special friend, Lorraine Lemon of Savannah, GA; nine nieces, Brenda Young- Price, Sadie Young, Daisy Young-Cohen, all of Savannah, GA, Betty, Daisy, Cynthia and Joyce Cannady of Staten Island, NY, Shandria Cannady of Brooklyn, NY and Willie P. Cannady-Vincent of Fayetteville, NC; five nephews, Larry Young, Sr., of Crockett, TX, John (Doc), Sam and Eric (Ralo) Young all of Savannah, GA and Charles Cannady of Staten Island, NY; two aunts, Susie Brown and Ocaie Walker of Savannah, GA and one uncle, John (Rhonda) Walker of Detroit, MI; a host of grand nieces and nephews, great-grand nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. The family will receive friends at the residence of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Miller, 3 Earl Court in Savannah, GA.
Funeral services for Evelyn E. Adams will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, December 8, 2007 in the Chapel of Williams & Williams Funeral Home, with Bro. Wade Garvin, officiating. Visitation: 7:30-8:30 p.m., Friday in the Chapel of Williams & Williams Funeral
