Faith Trimble Ludlow, 91, died September 29, 2010 under the excellent and professional care of Hospice Savannah, surrounded by her loving family.
She was a native of Thunderbolt, GA, having built her house on Bonaventure Road in 1998. She was a member of the English Speaking Union, Savannah chapter.
Her sister, Hope Bowen of Greenwich, Conn., preceded her in death in 1994, and is survived by her son, Dr. Christopher T. Ludlow, daughter-in law, Johanna Ludlow, grandson, Andre Ludlow and granddaughter, Elizabeth Ludlow.
She was born in Scarsdale, NY and then was a secretary in New York City. In 1956 she moved to Florida, where she later helped found the Boca Raton chapters for (NOW)- National Organization of Women and the Royal Palm Audubon society. It is her request that in lieu of flowers, that donations be on line to-NOW at
www.now.org
and to
www.plannedparenthood.org
- because she felt strongly that women should have abortion and reproductive rights. Because of her concern over climate change and its effect on exterminating many animal and plant species, she also requests donations be made to
www.worldwildlife.org
. She asked for a cremation, to reduce her carbon footprint and there will be a private memorial service at Dr. Ludlow's residence in Savannah.
