Gary Cecil Canady, 71, of Savannah, died Monday, Jan 18, 2016 at Hospice Savannah, surrounded by his loving family.
Gary was born in Savannah, Ga., and was a Graduate of Savannah High School, Class of 1962.
He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where he was a Docent, member of the Trinity Bible Class, Usher, Liturgist, and the Men’s Club. Gary was a former member of C. P. Miller United Methodist Church, until it closed.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil Wright Canady and Blonnie Stills Canady, and his brother, Jake Edwin Canady.
He had formerly worked for Air Tran Airways and Avis Budget Rental at the Savannah Airport.
He is survived by two sons, W. Scott Canady (Angela Tech), and Wesley S. Canady (Jennifer L), both of Savannah, Ga; 3 grandchildren, Alison Pearson (Charles), Megan Canady, and Evan Canady, brother, Gregory Canady (Nancy), several aunts, uncles, and nieces and nephews.
As per Gary’s wishes, he elected to donate his body to the Medical College of Georgia, for Research.
Memorial Services: 7 p.m. Friday, January 22, 2016, at Trinity United Methodist Church, with Rev. Enoch Hendry, officiating.
Remembrances: Trinity United Methodist Church, or Hospice Savannah.
