Hugo Nelson Ortiz Romero was born on June 14 1957 in Bogota Colombia South America.
He grew up along with his Mother Ana Beatriz Romero de Ortiz, Father Arnaldo Ortiz Beltran,
and three siblings, Mary Luz Ortiz Romero, Doris Nubia Ortiz Romero and Jose William Ortiz Romero.
Hugo accomplished many things throughout his life, one of which was his undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering, worked for different companies with different roles and later on he started his own business. Due to the economy situation in his home country, decided not to give up ever, he made a determination to move to United States to continue with his life exploring better opportunities and continue working hard until last minute.
Among his professional career, he loved with passion to play soccer from the early years of his life and which never stopped. Hugo was competitive and strive for perfection. He always wanted to do things right.
Surrounded by many beautiful experiences, Hugo Ortiz leaves a legacy behind… his wife Myriam Gomez Pardo which he met in Bogota Colombia while participating in a dancing contest, and two sons Nelson Andres Ortiz Gomez and Camilo Eduardo Ortiz Gomez. He also leaves behind a Grand Daughter, Isabella Ortiz-Giraldo and Grand Son, Thomas Ortiz-Giraldo, lots of nephews and wonderful friendships in Colombia and the United States.
Hugo Ortiz as he always wished, will be cremated and his remains will be repatriate back to Colombia to start his journey to Santa Marta – Palomino, the place he always wanted the most…
