Jalaiah Ariel Aihyanna Johnson

August 3, 2011 — October 28, 2011

Jalaiah Ariel Aihyanna, 11 weeks, 4 days, was called home to rest with God on Friday, October 28, 2011. She died peacefully in the arms of her mom and dad.

She was born August 3, 2011 in Savannah, Georgia to LaTasha Banks-Johnson and Lamont Johnson. Little Jalaiah weighed 5lbs. pozs. and was 18.5 inches long.

Jalaiah spent the majority of her short time here on earth in the hospital. God allowed us one full month with her at home. Those days were the happiest moments with her. Jalaiah was always smiling, perhaps because she knew who we were or perhaps because she knew that soon she would be going home to God. Jalaiah would do this thing with her mouth where she would poke out her lips. That was the cutest thing ever. She loved to be held and had plenty of attitude. During her short time here on Earth, she touched many lives and was deeply loved by family and friends.

Jalaiah was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Patricia V. Lavender and her paternal grandmother, Lestine Johnson.

She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her loving parents, LaTasha Banks-Johnson and Lamont Johnson; sister, Janiah; brother, Johnel; great grandmothers, Daisy B. Lavender and Elgine Johnson; paternal grandmother, Vonder Pruitt, of Jacksonville, FL; paternal grandfather, Charlie Pruitt of Jacksonville, FL; aunts, Dailetta Lavender, Katrina Sharpe, Yvette Johnson, Charlene Pruitt, Nakita Johnson, Keneisha Reynolds (Red)Scott; great aunt, Sarah Hooks; uncles, Terrance Lavender, Antoine Banks and Vernard Howard of Columbus, Ohio; Godmothers, Katrina Woodley and Carmen Woodley; Godsisters, Aaliya and Amaya Gilyard and Bre'Asia Kent and a host of other cousins, relatives and friends.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 1:00 am in the Chapel of Williams & Williams Funeral Home, 1012 East Gwinnett Street. Rev. Antonie E. Walker, Eulogist.
