James "Cuttie Mack" Gardner

Mr. James Gardner was born December 5, 1954 to Ms. Blanche Sheppard and Mr. Nathan Wiggs in Savannah, Georgia. He was the eldest of seven children.

He was educated in the public school system of Savannah, Georgia.

Mr. Gardner worked at Vaughn's Grocery Store for several years before his health begin to decline. When able, he worked other odd jobs over the course of his life.

James is preceded in death by: his mother, Ms. Blanche Sheppard; grandparents, James and Lucille Gardner; niece, Shencea Gardner; aunt and uncle, Mary Jane Edwards and Clifford "Bo" Edwards.

James leaves to cherish his fond memories: son, Mr. James Gardner (Patrice); daughter, Tauna Scriven (Jamille); three grandchildren; step-father, Leroy Jones; siblings, Brenda Brown (Eric), Stanley Gardner, Beverly Grant (Tony), Ann Walker (Lawrence), Denise Rogers (Preston), Robert Sheppard, Diane Wiggs and Nathan Wiggs; three aunts, special aunt Rosena Blake, Earlene Frazier, and Evelyn Frazier; three uncles, Thomas Gardner. Leon Gardner, and Fred Frazier; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral service for Mr. James Gardner, Sr., "Cuttie" Mack will be held 12 Noon Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Second Arnold Baptist Church, 1427 East 37th St. Rev. Richard J. Hall Pastor, Evangelist Lynette Phillips, officiating. Interment: Woodville Cemetery. Reposing at the church Saturday 10am until hour of service.
