James Darrell Turner, 47, of Faulkville, Ga., died Friday at St. Joseph’s Hospital, after a long illness.
He was born in Titusville, Florida,
He was a member of Powers Baptist Church at Eden, Ga., a member of the National Rifle Association, and was an avid Hunter.
He was Past Patron of Richard T. Turner Chapter, # 332, Order of the Eastern Star, in Bloomingdale, Ga; and Past Master of Richard T. Turner Lodge # 116, F. & A.M.’s, in Bloomingdale.
He is survived by his parents, Jimmy Turner and Marie Glover Turner; 2 sisters, Michelle Ogle, of Rincon, Ga., and Larissa Knight (Winton) of Faulkville, Ga; 2 nieces, Brianna Hendley, Guyton, Ga; and Carolina Knight, of Faulkville, Ga; nephew, Mikell Ogle, Gainesville, Fla.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Monday at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Garden City Chapel, with an Order of the Eastern Star Memorial Service, being conducted by Richard T. Turner Chapter, # 332, Order of the Eastern Star, being conducted at 7 p.m. Monday.
Funeral Services: 1 p.m. Tuesday at Powers Baptist Church, with Rev. Travis Cowart officiating.
Interment will follow in Alderman Cemetery, in Statesboro, Ga.
Mr. Turner will be taken to the church at 11 a.m. Tuesday to lie in state until the service.
