James Randall Vaughn, 84, of Midway Ga., died Saturday, April 9, 2016 in Tattnall County, from injuries received in a single vehicle accident.
He was born in Emmanuel County, Ga., Nov. 1, 1931 and worked on the family farm.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Josephine Faircloth Hall, and his second wife, Virginia Cowart Vaughn, and he was preceded in death by 6 sisters, Eva Sinclair, Sarah Lamb, Nancy Roberts, Barbara Purdue, and Grace Daring, and Nina Anderson. She is survived by 2 brothers, Donald and Alfred Vaughn, and 1 sister, Emily Clark.
He was a Baptist, and was employed by Humphries Brothers Heating and Air Conditioning, and then Dyches Realty Company, until he retired.
He had 3 daughters, Darlene Dickey (Ricky), Cathy Thompson (Danny), and Susie Chiswell (Jimmy), a son, Stevie Vaughn, 5 stepchildren, John, Mike, Debbie, Ricky, and Sherrie, numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday, at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Garden City Chapel.
Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Thursday in Mount Olivet United Methodist Church Cemetery, at Fleming, GA, with Rev. Art Stoddard, officiating.
