Mr. James Williams, Jr., 78, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Memorial Health University Medical Center.
He retired from Savannah Area Transit (CAT).
He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving wife, Louversa Williams; five sons, Rev. James Williams, III (Michelle), James R. Williams (Juanita), Charles E. Williams, Dennis L. Williams all of Savannah, GA, and David N. Williams (Neshon) of Houston, TX; seven daughters, Sharon L. Farmer (Morris), Wanda M. Williams of Gainsville, FL, Delores H. Wilder of Philadelphia, PA, Tammy T. Cannon (Neil) of Suffolk, VA, Brenda A. Williams of Atlanta, GA, Elaine C. Williams, and Edwina Liles; four brothers, Joe Williams, Edward Williams both of Florida, Charles Williams of Brunswick, GA, and Robert Williams; four sisters, Gladys Gordon, Mildred Taylor, Dorothy Nicholson, and Christina Williams all of Savannah, GA; thirty-nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. James Williams, Jr., will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, July, 15, 2011 from First Mt. Bethel Baptist Church, 124 W. Anderson Street. Interment: Woodville Cemetery. Reposing at the church from 9:00 AM until hour of service.
