Jessie Harry Kelly

July 9, 1921 — May 13, 2008

Jessie Harry Kelly died peacefully Tuesday, May 13, 2008. He was a native of Screven County, but was raised in Savannah, Georgia where he worked for many years as a long and short distance truck driver. He was a retired member of the gospel group "The Morning Stars" and a member of New Birth Christian Center. Survivors: three sisters, Ethel Mitchell, Willie Mae Kelly and Alice Spann; two daughters, Jessie Mae Kelly and Donna Marie Kelly; six granddaughters, Kelly Reed, Anetra Reed, Wanda Taylor; Avis Taylor Haynes, Regina Taylor Reed, Debbie Johnson Greene and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday at Williams & Williams Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 17, 2008 in the Chapel of Williams & Williams Funeral Home.
