Jewel Rebecca Marchant

Jewel R. Marchant, 97, of Savannah and widow of James Price Marchant, Sr., died on June 2, in Savannah.
A native of Savannah, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Stevens and the late David and Sara Exie Peth.
She was a member of the Evangel Temple Full Gospel Church. Mrs. Marchant was a Foster mother to over 248 foster children.
She was predeceased by her son, James P. Marchant, Jr.
Survivors include her daughter, Betty Jacobs; son Rev. David Marchant. She was “Nanny to many of her grandchildren, Great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service: 3:00 pm, Monday, June 6, 2016, following the visitation, at Evangel Temple Full Gospel Church, conducted by the Reverend Leonard Anthony, 1st.
Interment will be private.
