Mr. Jimmy Lee Boswell 82, passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Memorial Health U.M.C. after a sudden illness.
He was born March 5, 1929 in Goffery, Georgia. At a young age he moved to Savannah, Georgia. He was employed by McAnderson Construction Company and retired after thirty years of service. Mr. Boswell was a member of New Salem Community Fellowship Church. He was joined in marriage to Marie Jenkins in 1973.
His mother , Annie Mae Chatman, preceded him in death six months ago.
He leaves to cherish his memories: daughter, Angela Roberts; faithful son-in-law, Raymond Roberts, Sr.; two grandchildren, RaShanta Roberts and Zion Roberts; stepchildren, Anthony Jenkins, Pamela Jenkins, Wanda Freedmon (Jarome), and Dameika Jenkins; nine step-grandchildren; brothers, Alfonzo Chatman (Barbara) of Junction City, KS, Curtis Chatman (Maudell), of Norcross, Georgia, Pastor Tommy Chatman, of Madison, Georgia, Alfred Boswell, of Atlanta, Georgia; sisters, Chaty Chatman of Atlanta, Georgia, Linda Boswell of Madison, Georgia, Mini Bell Handy, of Chicago, IL, and Carole Binion (Talmadge) of Madison, Georgia; and a host of nephews, nieces, and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, August 6, 2011 at New Salem Community Church Pastor Nathaniel Small, Sr., officiating. Interment: Woodville Cemetery.
