In Loving memory of our brother Jimmy Dewayne Striplin.
Dewayne was born November 13, 1969 in Savannah, Georgia where he resided his whole life.
Dewayne loved everyone. I don’t think he ever met a stranger. He especially loved spending time with his niece's, great niece and nephew.
Dewayne had many talents and skills. He was always tinkering on an old truck or car. Dewayne was a mechanic by genetics. He learned from the best mechanics there was our daddy, Tommy Striplin and uncle, Jimmy B. Striplin. Fishing was also something he enjoyed and we did as a family. Country music was always playing in the background where ever he was. Not just any old country music, but the classic's of Hank Williams Sr. and Jr., Willie Nelson and even Loretta Lynn. Though Dewayne never claimed to be a musician or singer, he loved to strum on his guitar and sing. That was a “Family Tradition”. Of course he always had to watch The Dukes of Hazzard and the movie Smokey and the Bandit and did a great impression of “Rocco Pico Train”.
We know today Dewayne is up in heaven with our Memaw, Daddy, Momma and his baby girl Shannon, playing his country music and singing the gospel. Play a song for us bubba, we will surely miss you!
