John Calvin Andrews was born in Greensboro, SC on September 19, 1950. He graduated from Sol. C. Johnson High School. John or "JB" as he was affectionately called. was a United States Marine Corps Veteran, welder, and independent truck driver.
JB was a family man, loved to laugh and hear laughter. He had a great sense of humor. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. JB enjoyed his R&B music, particularly Regina Bell, and dancing. He was avid football watcher.
JB was preceded in death by his mother Christine Andrews.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his children, Nafeesah Amiri Andrews, Kareem T. Andrews (Natasha), Tawana Glenda Baker (Felipe), Shameka L. Andrews (Clinton), Jaalmal Yaffet Andrews (Mimi), Natisha Ashley Quarterman (Deon) and Rashad Antwan Andrews; grandchildren, Diamond Andrews, Zaquan Bryant, Nebraska Andrews, Tajonique Black, Jamon Andrews, Joseph Black, Shakia Andrews, Iyonna Black, Ke'Mani Andrews, Kedelan Goodwill, Senaiya Z. K. Andrews, Fanajia Baker, Jaalmal Y. Andrews, Jr., Maliyah J. Andrews, and Clinton O. Huntley, Jr.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service for John C. Andrews will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 14, 2013 in the chapel of Williams & Williams Funeral Home, 1012 East Gwinnett Street. Interment will be private.
