John Franklin “Frankie” Dossey, Jr. age 36, went to be with the Lord, Friday, May 14, 2010 at Memorial Health University Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, May 21, 2010 at Bonaventure Funeral Home with Capt. Jim Banks of The Salvation Army officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery with Douglas Jenkins, Hugo Carter, III, David Paul Vangiller, Bubba Cason, Brooks Dossey and Chris Morris serving as casketbearers.
Frankie was the son of John Franklin Dossey, Sr. (Sandra) of Pooler, and Bernice Bourdeau Bjerke (Lenny) of Savannah.
Frankie was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1550. He was the owner of a roofing company. Frankie never met a stranger and always welcomed the less fortunate to his table his family said.
Frankie is survived by his daughters, Laila Shae Dossey, Katlyn Screen and his companion, Tammy Lee all of Savannah, two sisters, Cheryl Renee Dossey Savannah, April Nicole Rivera (Witman) of Jacksonville, FL, two brothers, Jonathan “Beau” Dossey (Christie), Daniel Robert Knick (Taran) all of Guyton, and his paternal grandmother, Elefair “Fairy” Dossey of Savannah, also numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family will be receiving friends on Thursday evening, May 20, 2010 from 6:00 till 9:00 PM at Bonaventure Funeral Home.
