On the beautiful morning of February 26, 1975, God manifested his miraculous power by giving Mr. and Mrs. John and Richardine Gresham, Sr. their one and only baby boy, John Lewis Gresham, Jr. John, 33, made his transition into eternal rest on Friday, May 30, 2008 at St. Joseph's/Candler Hospital. John, a Savannah native, was a member of Tremont Temple Baptist Church. He was a 1994 graduate of Sol. C. Johnson High School and attended Savannah Technical College where he received training in the area of Auto-Body Mechanics. He was employed by Coca-Cola Company, where he worked in the Fleet Department as a Lead Painter. He leaves to cherish his precious memory his mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. John and Richardine Gresham, Sr.; two children, John and Jamayla Gresham; four sisters, Wanda (Sam) Chaplin, Renee Crawford, Paprice Simmons, and Tahisha Gresham; three nephews, Malcom, Martin, and Nicholas Chaplin; one niece, Iyana Crawford; two devoted cousins, Eric and Derrick Brantley all of Savannah, GA three aunts, Lena Harris of Brooklyn, NY, Mary Smith of Lexington, GA, and Ruby Gresham, of Athens, GA; one uncle, Woodrow Brantley, Jr. of Savannah, GA; four grand-aunts, Charlotte Wallace of Savannah, GA, Hattie Green of Springfield, MA, Pearl Ling and Louise Belton of Garnett, SC, and a host of other family and friends. The Homegoing Celebration for John will be held on Friday, June 6, 2008, 11:00 a.m. at Tremont Temple Baptist Church, 1110 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. Interment: Magnolia Memorial Gardens. The Gresham Family resides at 742 East 40th Street.
