Johnnie Mae Walker, 75, passed away Friday, March 29, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Mrs. Johnnie Mae Walker, affectionately known as Maude, was born on August 25, 1937 the eldest of six children born to the late Mr. John and Hannah Dunbar. Johnnie Mae was a native of Savannah, Georgia. She was educated in the public school system. She was a graduate of Richard Arnold High School. She was a member of Happy Home Missionary Baptist Church for many years. She was also a Deaconess.

She was married to Vernon J. Walker. Their Marriage was blessed with one daughter and four sons.

She is preceded in death by Mr. Jerome "Skinny" Dunbar, Mr. Joseph "Fatty" Dunbar and Mrs. Mary Dunbar Wright.

She leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Vernon James Walker, Mr. Rodnal Dunbar (Brenda), Mr. John Dunbar (Gwen), Ms. Mary R. Walker, Mr. Kevin Walker (Dora), and Mr. Jeffery Walker (Ladaffette); eleven grand children; sixteen great-grandchildren; to brothers, Mr. James Dunbar (Mary) and Dr. Louis Dunbar (Danny); and a host of nieces, nephews, special friend, Mrs. Rebecca Davis; two special cousins, Mrs. Agnes "Della" Washington and Mrs. Louise Wilson; and a host of other relatives and frineds.

Graveside services for Mrs. Walker will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, April 6, 2013 In Oakgrove Cemetery. Interment to follow immediately after services.
