Karen Libby Brown, 79, of Savannah, Georgia passed away June 16, 2022 at Memorial Health University
Medical Center under the care of Kindred Hospice. She was a resident of Azalealand Nursing Home in
Savannah, Georgia.
Born in Oak Park, Illinois, she moved to Savannah in 1947. Mrs. Brown was of Lutheran faith. She was a
retired medical secretary having worked for several doctors in Savannah. She was an avid gardener and
loved working outdoors. She was a loving mom, daughter and wife and always enjoyed her time with
family, especially during the holidays and special occasions. She was the widow of William W Brown.
She was the daughter of the late Eldon E Libby and the late Charlotte V Libby.
Surviving are two sons, Richard E. Brown of Savannah, Georgia, and W. Michael Brown and his wife,
Kelly, of Pooler Georgia; three grandchildren, including Jackson Hudgins; a brother in law, Curtis C.
Brown of Pooler, Georgia.
The family will receive friends at 10 until 11 o’clock Wednesday morning at Bonaventure Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o’clock, Wednesday morning in the chapel of Bonaventure Funeral
Home. Following, the family will gather for a private ceremony for entombment at Hillcrest Abbey –
East.
