Katie McCoy Hughes Norman, 94, of Savannah, passed away Monday, June 8th, 2015 at Hospice House.
A native of Pembroke, she was the daughter of the late George and Kate McCoy. She retired from Sears. She was a Sunday School Teacher at Thunderbolt Baptist Church, a member of the “NGO" Church Group and Sears Retirees Group.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, John Quincey Hughes and William Henry Norman and a son, William R Hughes, Sr.
Survivors include her grandson, William R Hughes, Jr., wife Nancy of Charleston, South Carolina, her granddaughter, Kimberly Ittel, husband John of Atlanta, her great grandsons, Charles Hughes and Winston Chase Hughes, her great granddaughters, Ansley Ittel and Briley Ittel.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 to 8 pm at Bonaventure Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Friday, June 12, 2015 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Bonaventure Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
