Kermit M. (Kurt) Jordan age 91, of Philadelphia passed away Friday, September 14th at University of Pennsylvania Hospice.
Born on October 23, 1920 in Cadwell, Georgia, he was the son of Sarah Tompkins and Dock Patt Jordan.
Mr. Jordan was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps, serving with the 968th Air Engineer Squadron during World War II. He worked in the Hotel/Casino Industry as a Security Guard. He was a member of the Washington Lodge, #59, F&AM in Philadelphia.
Preceded in death by his parents, Kurt is survived by 4 sons, Kermit M. "Steve" Jordan, Jr. and his wife Joni, Robert M. "Bob" Jordan, David J. "Dave" Jordan and his wife Denise, & Kevin M. Jordan; 2 daughters, Antoinette A. "Dolly" Cook and her husband Joseph & Sarah L. McAleer and her husband Patrick; a sister Sally Mae Helmey; 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 22nd from 10- 11:00 A.M. at Bonaventure Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be Saturday at 11:00 A.M. in the Savannah Chapel of Bonaventure Funeral Home with Interment to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
