Kevion Donnell Newman was born on December 31, 1990 to Sylvester Donnell Newman and Ruth Ann White in Kansas City, Missouri. Kevion was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Richard and Versa Bailey; maternal great-grandmother, Minnie Threadgill (Big Ma); paternal grandmother, Mary Allen; and special cousin, Deron Bell.
Kevion attended schools in the Kansas City , Missouri school district. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church before relocating to Savannah, Georgia with his family in 2004. After moving to Savannah, he attended Sol C. Johnson High School.
"Slim" as he was affectionately known to his friends, was a good handyman. He also found his niche as a cook and worked in many area restaurants.

Taylor of Kansas City, Missouri; six aunts, Deborah Bailey of Savannah, Georgia, Diane Thomas, Helen Newman, Robin Newman,and Evet Newman all of Kansas City, Missouri, and Tywana Thompson of Seattle, Washington; four uncles Dean Maxwell and Donald Edwards, Sr. of Wichita , Kansas, Wayne Toombs and Kenny Newman of Kansas City , Missouri; special cousins, Prettisha Rollins, Marquan Bailey, Demarco Hughes, DeAngelo and Dahvon Barnes; and a host of other friends and family near and far.
