Lawrence Garnto

December 30, 1967 — November 19, 2015

GARNTO, LAWRENCE STANLEY, 47, of Pooler, Georgia passed away peacefully at his home after an extended period of illness.
He left an imprint on the hearts of all that knew and loved him. One could say he gave without expecting a return and he did so with a cheerful and glad heart. He will be greatly missed by all and especially by his mother. He spent the later part of his life helping to care for his parents. He was affectionately known as “Big Bubba”.

He was a Georgia Bulldogs fan and a seat holder at La Nopalera’s for “Nacho Night” He loved decorating for all the holidays but his favorite was Christmas where he took great pride in decorating the many Christmas trees throughout his home.

He attended Pooler Elementary, Tompkins Middle School and Groves High. He was previously employed at Rupert Heller’s Pharmacy, Alamo and Enterprise Car Rentals, Three Star Homes, Marriott at Whitemarsh, Century Management at Hoover Creek Plantation and Fairhaven Funeral Home.

He was preceded in death by his father Oscar F. Garnto, both paternal and maternal grandparents.
He is survived by his mother Connie S. Brinson Garnto, his sister Cynthia Garnto (Jimmy Lewis), a brother David Garnto (Karen Dixon) a niece, Nicole Garnto, a nephew Tristen Garnto a great-nephew Connor Caylor and great-niece, Isabelle Berry (affectionately known by Lawrence as Little Bubba and Francine). He is also survived by many Uncles, Aunts and Cousins.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 22, 2015 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the funeral home with services on Monday, November 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Fairhaven Funeral Home in Garden City. Reverend Darrell Bailey will officiate the service.
Pallbearers will be Chuck Sowell, John Labarbra, Billy Gunn, Thom Richardson, Ashley "Bear" Fields and Randy Fields.
Burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery in Bloomingdale, GA.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to the Garnto Home for the Lawrence S. Garnto Fund or to the First Baptist Church in Pooler, GA.
