Lemuel Cooper Wells, Sr., 86, of Eden, Ga., died Sunday, Feb. 14, 2016 at Hospice Savannah, surrounded by his family.
He was born in Springfield, Ga., and was preceded in death by his parents, John Mack Wells and Susie Graham Wells, and a son, John Keith Wells.
He was retired from American Cyanamid, where he served as a Maintenance Mechanic.
He was a member of Jasper Springs Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon Emeritus, and a member of the Cliff Davis Sunday School Class.
He is survived byhis wife, Ann Ulmer Wells, of Eden, Ga; son, Lemuel “Bo” Cooper Wells, Jr., (Jan) of Guyton, Ga; 2daughters, Michelle Ann Wells Sturgess (Paul), Leesburg, Ga; and Audrey Wells Reynolds (Dr. Michael D. “Dusty” Reynolds, of Savannah, Ga; 9 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation: 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at Fairhaven Funeral Home.
Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home, with Rev. Dale Simmons, and Dr. Dusty Reynolds, officiating.
Interment will follow in Effingham Memorial Gardens.
