Louis "Louie" L. Sharpe II, entered into rest Thursday, March 17th, at home surrounded by family. Louie was born September 23rd 1942, a Savannah native and raised on Isle of Hope. He was a member of the U.S. Military from 1961-1967. He retired from the City of Savannah Water Treatment Plant in 2005. He loved spending his days with his three loving pets, Pepe, Tundra and Cam.
Preceded in death by his father and mother, Oliver Cromwell Sharpe and Vera Wightman Sharpe; and sisters, Lydia Suddath, Carolyn Head, Brenda Edwards and Mary Arrington.
Survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Gail Sharpe; his children, Trisha Hendrix (Ricky), Belinda Bendt (Eddie), Louie Sharpe (Anke) and Oliver Sharpe; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Harriett Grant, Ana Damboise, Walter Sharpe (Helen) , Oliver "Bubba" Sharpe, Elizabeth Hill and Vera Brettin (Bill); and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be held at 12:00pm, Sunday, March 20 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home – Hodgson Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah. Visitation will be held two hours prior, from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
