Mantie Wilson

March 3, 1940 — October 19, 2007

Mr. Mantie Wilson, 67, passed away on Friday, October 19, 2007 at Candler Hospital. He was a native of Sapelo Island, GA, but lived in Savannah all of his life. He retired as a heavy machine operator for Chatham County. He leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Alma Wilson; three daughters, Audrey Jackson (Donald), Sherri Hunter, and Terri Hunter (Dmitri); stepsons, Sammy Lee Hunter (Lunetta), and Daniel Hunter; one brother, Leroy Underwood; thirteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Beulah Baptist Church, 619 Anderson Street, with The Rev. Frederick Fearbry, officating. Interment: Woodville Cemetery.
