Mrs. Marian Louise Carter Spaulding, 90, passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at Savannah Rehab and Nursing Center.
She was born to the late Emanuel and Vera Carter. Mrs. Spaulding moved to Savannah Georgia during her early years. She attended and graduated from Cuyler Street School. She further attended a local nursing school upon graduation she became a Licensed Practical Nurse. Mrs. Spaulding was married to the late Charles Spaulding Sr. and from this union, one son was born. Mrs. Spaulding retired from the city of Savannah where she spent most of the time working for the Police department. Mrs. Spaulding was an active member at Butler Memorial Presbyterian Church until her health Failed. She was a member of the M.G. Redd Circle and the Usher board. Mrs. Spaulding gave help to many people and will be remembered as an encourager and supportive of others.
Mrs. Spaulding is survived by one son, Deacon John E. Spaulding and his wife Christina; one grandson, Dr.John E. Spaulding, Atlanta; special cousins, Ella Mae Copeland, Brenda Grant and Charles Carter of Baxley, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews; a special friend, Willie Wilkin; family friend, Robert Anne Spaulding Clay.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Butler Presbyterian Church, 603 West Victory Dr. Interment: Rachel Cemetery, Baxley, GA.
