Martha Kent, 76, passed away Tuesday July 24, 2007 at Memorial Medical Center after a short illness. She was born in Lady's Island, South Carolina, but lived in Savannah all of her life. She was a member of Little Bryan Missionary Baptist Church. She leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, Dr. Sam Hugie II (Shirley) of Ft. Worth, TX and Donald Kent (Beverly) of Savannah, GA; eight daughters, Lula M. Hugie of Savannah, GA, Vernell Scriven of Savannah, GA, Queen Reynolds (Lee) of Lady's Island, SC, Cynthia Kent of Savannah, GA, Patricia Howard (Marvin) of Savannah, GA, Vanessa Mercer (Eddie) of Savannah, GA, Cora Lee Kent (Wesley) of Columbus, SC, and Willie Mae Kent of Savannah, GA; one brother, George Reynolds of Newark, NJ; three sisters, Lucille R. Green, Daisy Mae Edwards (Harry), and her twin, Mary Reynolds all of Savannah, GA; forty one grandchildren; fifty five great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
