Mary E. Williams, 83, entered into eternal rest at home on May 25, 2007. She was a native of Scotia, South Carolina, but lived most of her life here in savannah. She retired from Candler Hospital as a nurse's aid. She was a member of First Mt. Bethel Baptist Church and was a member of the mass choir. She also served as the block President for the Carver Street Association. She leaves to cherish her memories: two step-daughters, Patricia J. Williams and Geri Williams, both of Savannah, GA; adopted daughter, Shelly Phine of Savannah, GA; two step-sons, Michael L. Williams (Sara) and Jasper L. Williams, both of Savannah, GA; two sisters, Helen Williams of Savannah, GA, and Lois Troupe (Bill) of Jamaica, NY; devoted cousin Margaret M. Lovett of Savannah, GA; twelve grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, cousins, and friends. Funeral service will be held Friday, June 1, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at First Mt. Bethel Baptist Church. Interment, Magnolia Memorial Gardens. Reposing at the church from 9:00 A.M. until hour of service.
