Maxine Moore Anderson, age 82, died Monday, August 1, 2011 at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
The funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, August 4, 2011, at Bonaventure Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glenn Ring officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with Al Ortner, Michael Ortner, Robert Redmond, Andrew Redmond and Bobby Moulis serving as pallbearers.
Maxine was born in Pierce County Georgia on December 22, 1928 to the late Thomas Melton Moore and Ardelia Miriam Strickland Moore. She was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church and retired from Union Camp as a machinist Operator. She was well known for her beautiful yards and was featured in the Savannah Newspaper for her wonderful display of her gardening skills. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold Edward Anderson and seven sisters.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law: Melinda A. Ortner and husband James of Bean Station, TN, Alecia L. Redmond and husband Robert of Savannah, five grandchildren, Brad Ortner, Michael Ortner, Brittnay Ortner all of Bean Station, TN, Andrew Redmond and Sarah Redmond of Savannah. Three Great-Grandchildren, Shallyn Ortner, Michael Ortner, Jr. and Raiden Ortner, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Tommy Moore and wife Carolyn of Glennville, GA and Thomas Allen (T.A) Moore and wife Beverly of Crystal River, FL. and two sisters, Shirley M. Blocker of Reidsville, and Louise M. Salters of Glennville, GA.
