We celebrate the life and memory of Mr. Nathaniel Hayes whose death occurred on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at his residence under Hospice Care.
Mr. Nathaniel Hayes was born on October 7, 1951 to Mrs. Rosa Lee Hayes and Mr. James Hayes, Sr. He was educated in the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System.
He drove trucks for 27 years and retired. He was also a Longshoreman and retired from there as well.
Nathaniel was married to his loving wife, Mrs. Patricia Hayes for 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his father: Mr. James Hayes, Sr.; his mother, Mrs. Rosa Lee Hayes; his brother: Henry L. Hayes; and his nephew:: Henry V. Hayes.
Nathaniel leaves to cherish his most precious memories, his wife, Patricia Hayes; two daughters: Danielle Mitchell Johnson (Oronde); Abony Hayes; 5 grandchildren; brothers: Melvin Hayes, James Hayes, Jr., Frank Hayes (Alethia), and Ronald Hayes (Barbara); sister: Lillian Smashum; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
Public Viewing will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025 from 3:00pm-5:00pm at Bonaventure Funeral Home, 2520 Bonaventure Road, Savannah, GA 31404.
Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 10:00am at Woodville Cemetery, 125 Spring St. Savannah, GA 31408, where he shall rest.
