Peter was a faithful employee at Jere Antique for many years. You always knew when Peter was at work
just by looking for his daily bread, bible, and coke as soon as you walk through the front door.
Peter was well known as the life of the party. He often would say his name was Peter “Thanksgiving”
Brown, no matter what day Thanksgiving fell on it was his birthday even if his actual birthday was the
next day. He always kept everyone laughing. He never forgot the stories from his life. He told the story
of how his mother use to walk from the housing projects to work at The Varsity every shift, he was
proud to wash her feet in a basin after work. Peter would walk around singing “God told Moses if you do
my will” and that was it because he couldn’t really remember the words. He would always talk about
Mother Mactell from church and Sunday School.
Between his loud singing, good cooking, and genuine smile he was just the guy you needed to see if you
were having a bad day. His favorite saying to say when he was tired was “I’m hanging in there” and he
truly did. Funeral service will be held 11am Friday,January 7, 2022 at Bonaventure Funeral Home Chapel
