Raymond V. Boutin
Raymond V. Boutin, faithful husband and father, died peacefully on February 16, 2016 in Savannah, GA, with his loving wife, Lucille, at his bedside. Ray was 79.
Ray was born on May 25, 1936 in Providence, RI, to parents, Raymond A. & Gladys Boutin. He graduated from Providence College with a degree in Economics in 1959. Ray married Lucille Fontes, his sweetheart and true love, in 1958. Over the next eleven years, Ray and Lucille had four sons. Ray spent his career working in purchasing for many companies including Pratt & Whitney, General Electric and Gulfstream Aerospace, living in Rhode Island, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Virginia, Maryland, and Georgia. Wherever Ray lived, he was active in his church and supporting his wife in her volunteer activities.
Ray was happiest visiting his children and grandchildren. He had a passion for the airline industry and an avid sport fan, rooting on his Washington Redskins and St. Louis Cardinals. Ray was lifelong blood donor and was recognized for his efforts to save lives. Ray will be remembered as a person full of life, quick with a joke and always positive. Even through his brief bout with cancer and a debilitating stroke, Ray remained positive and reassured by his faith in God.
