Robert Francis Hinely, Sr., Died, Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, GA.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Friday, March 27, 2009 from the Chapel of Bonaventure Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Cemetery.
Born in Savannah on February 14, 1921, to the late James Hinely and Daisy Rackley Hinely. He served in World War II as a Sergeant in the Infantry during the campaign in France and Germany. He was a member of Mount Bethel United Methodist Church in Marietta , and the Alee Temple of the Loyal Order of Masons in Savannah. He was the President and Owner of Unit Venetian Blind Co. in Savannah until me move to Atlanta in the mid 1960’s. There he was Vice President and a Director of Wright Sales Co. retiring in 1983. After that he continued working with his son in sales for Robert & Sons Aluminum until his death.
Surviving are his wife, Sarah Campbell Hinely of Colonels Island, a son, Robert F. Hinely, Jr. and wife Molly of Newnan, GA, daughters, Brenda H. Tanner and husband, Hal of Georgetown, SC., Barbara A. Hinely of Marietta, GA.
Four Grandchildren, Robert F. Hinely III and wife Mary, Stephen Hinely and wife Kim, Gregory Tanner and wife Caroline and Allison Tanner Kuhn and husband Matt. 8 Great-Grandchildren. He is also survived by the loving mother of his 3 Children,
Bertha H. Stanford of Atlanta, Ga. One Sister-In-Law, Mary Hinely of Savannah. Several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Daisy Hinely, sister and Brother-In-Law, Irma Benton and husband Rex, his brother, James Hinely, Nephew, James (Jimmy) Hinely, Jr.
The family will be receiving friends Friday, March 27, 2009 from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Bonaventure Funeral Home.
