Ruth Alma Black, age 90, died Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Spanish Oaks Retreat.
Graveside Rites will be held at 3:00 pm, Tuesday, January 11, 2011 in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with Rev. Marshall Ray officiating.
Ruth was born on October 10, 1920 in Metter, Ga. to the late Lillian Hortense Brinson and Loren Brinson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband, Thomas David Black and a daughter, Arlene Black Mullins. She was a member of Thunderbolt Baptist Church and lived in Thunderbolt for 49 years and was a retired Clerk from Woolworth Department store.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law; William David (Bill) Black and wife Brenda of Baxley, GA.; Wayne Black and wife Linda of Savannah and Charles Black and wife Nancy of Thunderbolt and 8 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 from 2:00 pm till 2:45 pm at Bonaventure Funeral Home.
