Thomas Mitchell Tomlin, Jr.,76 , of Pooler passed away Thursday, January 7th, 2016 at Landmark Hospital .
A native of Savannah, he was the son of late Thomas M. Tomlin, Sr. and Emmie Elizabeth Broadman Tomlin.
Tommy was a Disabled Veteran of the US Marine Corps having served during the Vietnam War. He was a retired Sargent from Coastal State Prison System after 21 years service and had formerly worked for Fairhaven Funeral Homes as a Funeral Attendant..
He was a member Richard T. Turner Lodge #121; F. & A.M.'s; the Scottish Rite Consistory - Valley of Savannah, where he was a 32nd KCCH; the Alee Temple, and formerly served as Chapter Dad of Demolay; and was a member of Chevis Oaks Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Edith Walkley Tomlin; sons, Thomas M. Tomlin, III, Michael A. Tomlin (Kim); 5 grandchildren, Amanda, Ashley, Amy, Brittany and Cameron; a sister, Jane Caldwell (Gene); several nieces, nephews, other family and many friends .
The family would like to Thank the 7th floor staff and the CCU staff at St. Joseph's Hospital along with the staff of Landmark Hospital for all of the care and support that they gave.
Visitation: 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 11, 2016 at the Fairhaven Funeral Home - Garden City Chapel.
Funeral Service: 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at the Fairhaven Funeral Home - Garden City Chapel.
Burial with Military Honors: 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Glennville, Georgia.
