Tom Fabian Jr.

June 6, 1920 — March 2, 2021

Mr. Tom Allen Fabian, Jr., age 97, was born June 6, 1920 in Hinesville, GA to the late
Tom Fabian, Sr. and Martha Johnson Fabian. He is the second of three
children and was affectionately known as “Tom Dooley”. He later moved to
Savannah, GA, where he attended the public schools of Savannah Chatham County.
Tom united in Holy matrimony with Rosa L. Fabian on December 20, 1954. He was
a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Tom Dooley was a veteran of the United States Navy and proudly served his country.
He was awarded the Victory World War II medal on November 12, 1947. Tom was
honorably discharged on November 12, 1952.  One of his favorite pastimes was sharing his military experiences with family and friends.

Tom Dooley entered into eternal peace and rest on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at
Riverview Health & Rehabilitation Center in Savannah, GA. His precious memories
will live on through family and friends who knew and loved him. He was preceded in
death by his beloved wife of 56 years, Rosa L. Fabian; one son, George A. Fabian; one
brother, James Fabian.
His memories will forever be cherished by his five children: one son, Charles (Sue)
Ansley of Glendale, Maryland; four daughters, Jacqueline (Edward) Petty; Sandra
(Charlie) Hall, both of Savannah, GA; Pamela Joyce of Anderson, SC; Melissa Fabian
of Centreville, VA; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; one
great-great granddaughter; and a host of  nieces, nephews, cousins,
other relatives and friends.
The family of the late Mr. Tom (“Tom Dooley”) Fabian, Jr. wishes to acknowledge,
with deep appreciation, the many expressions of love and acts of kindness during
our time of bereavement. Your visits, cards, flowers, food, calls, and most of all your
prayers, will always be remembered. Tom Dooley will be missed forever, but we
know that he will live on in the hearts of all who share their grief with our family
during this difficult time. Thank you for surrounding us with your love! May God
forever bless and keep you!
The Family. Graveside services will be March 9, 2021 at 11a.m. in Beaufort National Cemetery. Viewing: March 8, 2021 from 12-5p.m. at the funeral home.
