Viola Scott, 83, passed away on December 3, 2007 at home after a short illness. She was a native of Hardeville, SC, but lived in Savannah for the last 34 years. She was a member of Pilgrim Baptist Church in Bellinger Hill, South Carolina where she served on the Trustee Board. She was also a member of the V.F.W. She leaves to cherish her memories: adopted daughter, Della Brown of Savannah, GA; four brothers, Tom Washington (Gloria), Peter Washington (Nella), Joe Washington (Nancy), and Leroy Washington all of Hardeville, SC; sister-in-law, Leola Washington; two grandsons, Kenneth Lee and Richard Lee, both of White Plains, NY; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Viola Scott will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, December 8, 2007 at Pilgrim Baptist Church, Bellinger Hill, SC, with Rev. Renty Kitty, officiating. Interment: Cummings Cemetery, Bellinger Hill, SC. Visitation: 6-7 p.m., Friday in the Chapel of Williams & Williams Funeral Home. Reposing at the Church 9 a.m., Saturday until the hour of service.
